Did you know that over 1.7 million Canadians participated in the 2013 Culture Days weekend and 7,573 free activities were held in 825 cities and towns across Canada?
In addition, a whopping 98% of Canadians who participated in Culture 2013 said they were satisfied by their experience and 97% said they intend to participate in Culture Days 2014. What’s more, 91% agreed that the arts and cultural activities make their community a much more enjoyable place to live and 88% said that it helps make their life meaningful.
Four years since the inaugural event, those who attended Culture Days activities in 2013 and at least one other Culture Days event in 2010, 2011 and/or 2012 reported that as a result of their experience, they attended more arts and cultural events (52%), became a fan of an artist or cultural organization (33%), visited more art galleries or craft studios (32%), took on more volunteer with an arts or cultural organization (22%) and more!*
